I recently had an interior project completed and was very pleased with the results. The crew arrived on time and were extremely careful. The paint lines are sharp, and the workspace was left spotless. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a stress-free experience.
We have worked with Smart General for years. They have completed several projects for us including beautiful kitchen and basement renovations. They also repaired our front porch and constructed a lovely railing, among other projects. We are consistently happy with the quality of the workmanship and the responsible, pleasant demeanor of the team. They are thoughtful, attentive problems solvers who honored our various requests, including Eco-friendly product selections. Highly recommend.
Highly recommend David and his family. They have done lots of work for us. Always on time, professional and reasonable.
David has been doing work with our family for many years now. He has also done work for my mom. We have always been pleased with the results. He and his employees are always professional and easy to contact. The most recent project was finishing our basement and giving it a brand new look. David consulted with us when he had different ideas on how to manage a certain aspect of the work - his ideas were always good! We would recommend David and Smart General Contractors for anything you might need to have done around your home. (Here are some before and after photos)
David and his team did a great job repairing our ceiling in two different rooms in our home. Timeliness was an important factor for this project and not only did they do a walk-thru of our space quickly but they also provide us a quote for services within 24 hours. They did a great job repairing, painting and cleaning up. They also graciously repainted our living room after the first color that was selected appeared green on the wall. We will definitely recommend them to neighbors and friends.
We love David and his team! They have completed all sorts of projects on our house with efficiency and at affordable prices. Smart General Contractors installed new floors and removed popcorn ceiling all across our downstairs. They painted our living room, stairway, and bathroom, installed ceiling fans/vents in our bathrooms, installed storm doors, and removed a broken fireplace. David is always available to stop by to identify solutions and give us a quote. His team usually starts work within the next few days. If you want someone reliable and quality, we highly recommend David and his team!
Smart General has done multiple jobs for my family. Including whole house painting, closet reconstruction and deck renovation . They are helpful in planning and do excellent work in a timely fashion.
They redid our deck and added an addition to it. Plus any home improvements we had in mind were done with beautiful work in a timely manner with professional results
It was a pleasure working with them and I’m very pleased with the final produce for my deck repair. Communication was very easy
David Arevalo did a beautiful kitchenette for me. He is reasonable, reliable, cleans up after himself, and has done a lot of work for me because of that. 301-379-2430
They replaced all my tiles in the entry, kitchen and laundry room with vinyl planks. What a difference. Then Walls looked bad (per my dear wife) and had all painted including the dining room. Wow what a difference. Thank you guys for your wonderful work, commitment and punctuality in showing up on time. ❤️
This is our new door made of mostly wrought iron. The door was delivered in 3 parts ranging from 150lbs to 250lbs per part. Smart General contractor LLC (301-3792430) removed the old door and installed the new door in less than one day. Carpentry work was required for exact fitting and some drywall and painting touchups.
They built a custom shed for us and it came out beautifully. The work was done pretty quickly, price was reasonable, and the shed has been great. They were very responsive as well and quite friendly too. Definitely would recommend.
David and his family have been doing projects for us for years and we are always happy with the results. Highly recommend them for any sort of projects.. ranging from replacing weather stripping to remodeling a bathroom.
I am so happy to find a construction company I can depend on: These folks are absolutely meticulous in their work. I hired them to repair two doorframes and perform some drywall + paint work. I appreciated how thorough they were in protecting my belonging as they worked, and was incredibly impressed by their results! I can happily recommend Smart General Contractors to friends, family, and neighbors that need any work done in the area.
The smart general contractors made my home my dream house. I wanted my closets, bathroom and kitchen redone to my liking. Jose was willing to work with my budget and gave me a detailed outline of when each step would be completed. I’m so happy on how everything turned out. I love having guest over so I can brag about the work he did for me.
This company was referee to me by my coworker who had work done in her house. I own a rental home in Columbia, MD. I recently had the roof replaced by a friend of my family at a very favorable rate. 2 months later and the roof started leaking. The roofer started to avoid my calls and texts messages. My coworker heard my frustration and recommend me Jose. I explained to Jose the entire story and he was very understanding. He was willing to work with my tenants schedule as to not disturb them since they worked from home. I would recommend to anyone who asks and will call out to him if any other work is needed in my rental property or personal home.
Smart General Contractors built my shed and painted my home. The work was great, friendly workers, and great communication. I would definitely recommend for anyone who is looking into home improvements!
Smart General Contractors did a great job with painting my home! I am really happy with my new space. All their work was done in a very timely manner. If you are looking for a friendly, local, and professional company, look no further!
David Arevalo, the owner, and his crew have done many jobs for me & I have been thrilled with the results each time. They redid a bathroom, installed a kitchenette in the basement, put on a new roof, washed and sealed my deck and patio, hung doors, just to name a few. They take great pride in their work, show up when they say they will, and tidy up before they leave. I have checked other contractors, and found Smart General's prices very fair. They go the extra mile to be sure the job is done correctly - even if if requires some creativity or carpentry to make it happen. David is a very honest person. He won't try to upsell you, and will work with you to find affordable solutions. As a single mom, I'm anxious about who I let into my house. David and his talented family that work with him have been a huge blessing to me and my boys, as I know they are trustworthy & I won't be taken advantage of. Highly recommend them!
